Prep
1. Download PXE Server.
2. Extract .zip file
3. Edit config.ini and add rfc951=1 after [dhcp} line. Save and exit file.
4. Go to AREDNMESH.org and download Mikrotik firmware under SOFTER>NIGHTLY BUILDS.
5. Chang to static address 192.168.1.10.
6. Go to folder where you downloaded firmware files and rename .elf file to rb.elf
7. Run PXE Server (pxesrv.exe)
8. Select static IP address 192.168.1.10.
9. Select Boot file: rb.elf
10. Un-check the filename at bottom of page
11. Disconnect cat5e cable.
12. Press ONLINE button.
14. Plug POE into internet port.
15. Hold down RESET button and apply power.
16. Watch PXE Server for new lines to appear.
17. Press OFFLINE.
18. Un-plug cat5e from computer to internet port.
19. DO NOT UNPLUG POWER!
20. Plug cat5e into LAN port.
21. Open browser and go to 192.168.1.1 You should see NOCALL-xx-xx-xx screen.
22. Go to Settup page (root/hsmm).
23. Go to Administration page.
24. Chose file
25. Upload file.
26. Wait (or have a beer)
27. Open browser and go to 192.168.1.1 You should see NOCALL-xx-xx-xx screen.
28. Go to Setup page (root/hsmm).
29. Go to Administration page.
30. Change distance value (Apply)
31. Rename node (Add your callsign, etc)
32. Set SSID, Channel, Channel Width, Password, Confirm Password.
33. Click on Save Changes (It will reboot)
27. Change network status to DHCP.
28. Go to localnode:8080 to check node.
29. CONGRATULATIONS1
Now get another node and go back to step 8.
